Hi, I’m Amy ! I am a widow, artist, coach, and mother of ten (yes, ten!) children through birth and adoption. Some have special needs. All have shaped my heart.
I’ve walked roads I never expected: sudden loss, terminal illness, caregiving, solo parenting, and rebuilding a life from the inside out. Through it all, I’ve discovered that there is always joy and beauty to be found — in brushstrokes, in breath, and in how we move through the world.
I created Walk the Red to walk with others through the sacred chaos of illness, grief, and transition. I offer coaching, creative tools, and support for those caregiving or journeying through the challenges of terminal or serious illness.
I’m the author of Navigating Goodbye: A Guide for Those Blindsided by Terminal Illness — a deeply personal guide for families facing the unthinkable — and I’m thrilled to be working on a new project that introduces Walk the Red concepts in a tender, imaginative way for children.
I’m also a contemporary impressionist painter. My art is full of color and movement — a way of catching joy, even in sorrow. Whether I’m holding a paintbrush or a story, I help people find the courage to live with meaning and light. You can find a link to my art site on the sandwich menu on the top left.
Walk the Red exists to inspire, support, and champion the terminally ill and their families to live with intention, leave a meaningful legacy, and transition with joyful expectation into the Savior’s arms.
